3rd Latin American Empanadas Weekend

During the first weekend of October (30-Sept, 1-2 Ocotober), Berlin will be celebrating the third edition of the Latin American Empanadas Weekend. With 14 restaurants, this is one of the biggest food events in 2022.

We don’t only wish to promote the Latin American culture in Germany through a dish but also to celebrate what brings together a diverse continent: the empanadas. We all know what they are but each region has its differences and specialties. The 3^rd Festival of Latin American Empanadas celebrates this diversity. The countries represented in the Latin American Empanadas Weekend are: Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Perú, Bolivia, Colombia y Venezuela.

During the three days of the festival, visitors will be able to walk around the city helped by the official map of the event in order to find the restaurants located in the different neighborhoods of Berlin: Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Bergmannkiez, Friedenau, Moabit, Treptower, Schöneberg, Friedrichshain, Lichtenberg, and more.

This edition has the following participating restaurants: Gloria P.Berg y Kreuzberg, La Criolla, Que hablai, El Chilenito, Como en Casa, Mia y Leo, La Picá de Deli Mel, El almacén de Fausto, Die Seele Boliviens, Macondo, Hängemate, Mecato, CholoSoy, and Matanga.
